Payments are due at the time of service and are accepted in the form of debit/credit cards (Visa, Discover, MC, AmEx), HSA/FSA insurance cards, and checks. Payments are processed using the Square program and a payment receipt can be provided via email, text, or print.
Health Insurance: Bethany is not contracted with any healthcare companies and does not accept any insurances as payment. A superbill can be provided for you to submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.
You may choose not to utilize your insurance reimbursement coverage in order to maintain the privacy of services or to avoid a mental health diagnosis being documented. While there are laws in place to protect client's privacy and records, insurance companies may request treatment information in order to provide you with reimbursement. Many will require a mental health diagnosis and some may request additional clinical or treatment information.
You also have the option to utilize your insurance coverage after paying for services out of pocket by seeking reimbursement with the "superbill" documentation. If you choose to pursue reimbursement from your insurance company for services provided "out of network", a monthly, biannual, or annual bill of services can be provided to you free of cost and as requested. We can discuss the need for diagnosis further if your insurance requires it. For more information about your benefits with an "out of network" mental health provider, please contact your insurance company directly.
Good Faith Estimate: You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or at any time during treatment. For more information about the No Surprises Act: www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059. There is a set fee for all services with Bethany that is listed above. At the intake appointment, we'll discuss the frequency of services recommended. You will have the opportunity to make sure that it's a good fit and that you know what to expect before you're charged. The policies about payments are clearly stated on the website and in the intake paperwork. Please inquire if you have additional questions about this process.
